Lot Description
Despite a relatively huge mintage of 3,790, care was not taken in the production and DCAMs are VERY RARE indeed. This SENSATIONAL COIN is arguably the FINEST KNOWN in the designation, one of only two graded PR66 DCAM by PCGS and NONE ARE FINER. Indeed PCGS has only graded these two coins in the designation! WOW! This coin enjoys stunning reflection, with deep mirrors that are fully beaming with ultra clarity and have a great black and white contrast on both sides. What a dramatic two-tone deep cameo! Fully frosted devices and exceptional mirrored surfaces provide eye-catching contrast. The devices really do stand out with thick creamy white frost. The eye appeal is gorgeous! PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 3. Clearly the CAC Population data is not correct. This coin appeared in our May 2018 Regency Auction, as part of the David Poole Collection, and realized $6,169. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $6,750 and as the FINEST PCGS example in the DCAM designation, we know there will be many Set Registry collectors vying for this AMAZING GEM! Good luck. Cert. Number 16545212 PCGS # 93781
