This is a phenomenal condition rarity in a 1934-S Walking Liberty half dollar. Both sides exhibit generally sharp detail from the rims to the centers, although the definition to Liberty's left hand and the eagle's trailing leg come up a bit short, and not unexpectedly so. Lively mint frost throughout, the surfaces are further enhanced by pretty toning in speckled russet and lighter pinkish-silver. This is the rarest issue among middle date (read: 1934 to 1940) Walking Liberty half dollars. Surpassed at PCGS and NGC by only a single MS-67+ at the latter service, this glorious Superb Gem is sure to see spirited bidding among advanced collectors specializing in this popular 20th century silver series.
