Lot Description

Breen Die State II. Generally steely-copper in appearance, but with considerable intermingling of golden-brown and chestnut colors that are more pronounced on the obverse. The strike on that side is drawn to about 10 o'clock, the letters LIB in LIBERTY run off the planchet. The reverse is better centered, although the denticulation is thinner at upper left than elsewhere. Otherwise boldly defined, both sides are a bit rough in places, but show some nice gloss. Outside of Condition Census for this Sheldon number, yet no less desirable for both variety and circulated type purposes.
