Here is an entertaining "gem" dollar with flashy fields that are not overly reflective, but do surround the portraits with energetic visual effects. 1886-S is a bit of a grade-rarity even with a "PL" designation, and as a high-graded example, Liberty's portrait features the all-important clean cheek that enthusiasts covet. Honey-gold toning leans on the rims but avoids extending much into the fields, creating a lovely framework for eye-appeal.
