- 1884 Liberty Seated Dime. Proof-66 Cameo (PCGS). A visually captivating Proof dime, with as much eye appeal as any collector could ask for. Fully struck and essentially brilliant in the fields and centers, with lovely golden-brown and lilac peripheral toning on both sides. Conditionally scarce at the MS-66 grade level, with full Cameo contrast. It might be an interesting exercise to try to acquire one of each Proof Liberty Seated dime from 1858 (the first year they were generally sold to the public) through the last, 1891. While some are scarce, all are available over a period of time. In Gem grades of Proof-65 and, as here, Proof-66, they become more elusive and more time is required.
