Tied for Finest Certified by PCGS. 1871 Octagonal 25¢. BG-717. Liberty Head. Rarity-3. MS-67 PCGS. An impressive Gem by any standards, this mark-free and well-struck little gold coin is pristine enough to still show the circular die lathe marks in the fields. Bright yellow-gold with bold cameo contrast and intense luster present on both sides. You won’t find a finer example of the variety in a PCGS holder!
