Lot Description

1919-D Standing Liberty Quarter. MS-65 (NGC). A softly lustrous Gem with blushes of champagne-pink and golden-apricot iridescence on both sides. Untroubled beneath a glass with all but a few isolated high points sharply rendered. Long regarded as a key date in the Standing Liberty quarter series, the 1919-D has a mintage of 1,944,000 pieces, most of which have long since been worn out or lost in circulation.
