- Mintage: 12,462. None of the four Carson City Seated Liberty dollars is common, but the 1870-CC provides the best shot for type purposes. Remnants of luster manage to cling to portions of the reverse, even though the best protected, recessed areas suggest a bit of flashy presence upon emergence from the dies. Slightly drab bisque-grey drapes the obverse while the reverse leans closer to chalky white.
