Tompkins Die Stage 3/1. This is a wholly original example with warm, even, dove-gray patina in the fields and recesses of the design elements, lighter silver gray on the high points. All major features are well defined, and the surfaces are smooth in hand with no significant marks. For the assigned grade it is difficult for us to imagine a more appealing example of the type, date or die marriage.<p>
