Premium for the grade, the surfaces are so free from abrasions that from that perspective alone, one would expect the coin to be certified at a higher grade level. Even the luster seems less muted than usual for the date, although a below average strike fails to bring flowline texture to broad, upper relief areas of the portraits. Acceptable peach-grey patina endows the entire surface and helps obscure a series of tiny, horizontal slide marks down the head and neck.
