1864 Liberty Seated Half Dime. MS-66 (NGC). Frosty motifs complement satiny fields. Essentially brilliant surfaces with just a whisper of gold iridescence. Struck from lightly clashed dies. Most design features are sharp, save for a touch of striking softness on the reverse wreath at 10:00. The 1864 ranks as a scarce date in all grades and is absolutely rare at the MS-66 level. This example ranks among the finest certified by either of the major services.
