From the Premier Barber Collection. The 93-O had an original mintage of well over 3.25 million, and very few were saved; indeed, it is a very rare date any finer. The present SUPERB GEM is among the finest graded! Frosty mint bloom beams from all over. When you rotate the coin in a light, you can clearly see a subtle reflection in the fields that provide a stunning look! A brilliant, nearly cameo like appearance is eye catching! A pearly-iridescent toning graces both sides, a little deeper on the reverse. A great coin for any high end collection! PCGS 3, NGC 2, CAC 3. There is a single coin graded finer at PCGS, graded MS67+ (which is the Eliasberg coin, also listed as MS68 at NGC). The aforementioned Eliasberg coin sold sold as MS68 NGC/CAC (now 67+) for $23,500 in the October 2014 Gardner Sale.
