Judd-837, Pollack-928 (R.5) is a "standard silver" design that makes its way to other denominations for 1869-1870. Struck in proof format, the present example will be easy to identify by future collectors since a curling thread was struck through the upper star of Liberty's cap. Lovely watery texture, characteristic of the type, gleams with dusky violet-gold and deep ocean blue colors on both sides.
