1842 Braided Hair Cent. N-6, 10. Rarity-1. Large Date. MS-66 BN (PCGS). CAC. Exceptional quality and eye appeal for this otherwise readily obtainable die marriage from the early Braided Hair cent series. The surfaces are smooth in hand with dominant antique copper patina to a softly frosted texture. The more persistent viewer will be rewarded with blushes of faded rose-red color in isolated areas on both sides. Sharply struck overall and otherwise free of mentionable blemishes, a shallow edge bruise at 5:30 on the obverse is noted for accuracy. Noyes Die State B/C.
