A well struck example of this scarce, somewhat underrated S mint $2.50. Glossy surfaces show hints of golden luster that accents variegated gold colorations. The late, great David Akers noted that this date is rare in grades over XF. PCGS 18, NGC 16. The last PCGS AU53 sold back in November 2007, realizing $949 and the current CU value is $1,400.
