Lot Description

A truly fabulous example of this POP TOP Mercury dime, which is a "silent stopper" in this lofty state of preservation. Incredible surfaces are of ultra high quality, indeed they are immaculate, sleek, and smooth. Even when using a really strong glass zero imperfections pop up.. The full, booming luster radiates boldly from all over. A light and totally original layer of gold has some faint streaks across the obverse. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and stand out. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 34, NGC 7, CAC 13. There are 7 in MS67+ FB and NONE FINER. Only two have sold in auction, including this one which brought $10,281 in our March 2020 Regency Auction. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $12,500.
