- The normal business-strike reverse for the 1992 cents has the AM of AMERICA with a clear space between the letters. However, this 1992-D cent was struck with the Proof reverse for that year, which has the AM of AMERICA very close, almost touching. A choice example with strong luster and color ranging from a pale coppery-gold to bright orange.
