THE SO-CAL COLLECTION OF MATTE PROOF LINCOLNS Everything about this GEM Matte Proof Lincoln cent is absolutely original and fabulous, the technical quality has distinct claims to a SUPERB grade and the eye appeal is nothing but SUPERB! WOW. Incredible colors gleam over the sandblast surfaces. As you rotate this jewel in a light, the vivacity of the undeniable original red color is accented by a mix of gold, magenta, and hints of emerald at the peripheries. The devices show complete, razor sharp strikes that stand out in a bold relief against the millions of microscopic facets from the sandblast matte finish that shimmers when rotated. What a fantastic example for the date! WOW. Only 1150 Proofs were struck. PCGS 30, NGC 19, CAC 20. This coin sold in August 2021 for $7,200 and is truly a fabulous example.
