Lot Description

1837 Capped Bust Half Dime. LM-1. Rarity-1. Large 5C. MS-65 (NGC). Fully brilliant with satiny white surfaces throughout and just a whisper of a tawny-gold line in the lower right obverse, likely in the planchet prior to striking. Bold on all devices, and the surfaces are quite clean as required to achieve the Gem grade. The obverse has a thin bisecting die crack and the 7 was repunched low. PCGS# 38730.
