Lot Description

67.6 grains. This is the most frequently encountered Martin number of the 1723 Crowned Rose halfpenny, and it is represented here by a richly toned example in steely-copper and charcoal-gray. Light surface encrustation is associated with the darker color, but plenty of faded mint frost persists to shine forth nicely as the coin dips into a light. Sharply defined for the grade with no troublesome handling marks.
