- Lot Description
- A fully struck and wonderfully original specimen. Evenly patinated in bright golden iridescence, both sides reveal subtle reddish-rose and powder blue highlights as the surfaces rotate under a light. From an unknown mintage that Roger W. Burdette (2016) estimates as 1,806 of the 4,420 Proof nickels coined in 1936. The Brilliant finish is the more popular variant of the issue, offered here in stellar Superb Gem preservation.
