Lot Description

1802 Draped Bust Dime. JR-4. Rarity-4. EF-40 (NGC). This is the scarce terminal state of the die marriage with a massive obverse crack (as struck) from the rim at 11 o'clock, through star 7 and the letter E in LIBERTY to the rim at 12 o'clock. Lightly and evenly patinated in a silver-apricot hue, with an otherwise bold strike that comes up a bit short only in the centers. A smooth-looking EF with no abrasions of note.
