1825/4/2 Capped Bust Quarter. B-2. Rarity-2. AU-58 (PCGS). A second high grade example of this die marriage, both sides of this coin with mottled charcoal-russet peripheral toning around antique silver centers. Sharply to fully defined over most features with plenty of satiny luster remaining to further tempt the viewer. The exact number of 1825-dated quarters struck was not recorded, the mintage thought to comprise most of the 168,000-piece figure provided for the 1824- and 1825-dated issues combined. PCGS# 38975.
