Lot Description
1875-CC Trade Dollar. Type I/I. MS-63 (PCGS). Speckles of tannish-gray patina blend with billowy mint frost on both sides of this handsome Trade dollar. What few abrasions are present are consistent with the grade and nicely concealed by the toning. Although the mintage for this date and mint is over 1.5 million pieces, there are very few around today at the Choice Mint State or finer grade level. This is one of the nicer examples as it offers mint-fresh frost and delicate toning. Of course the Carson City mintmark adds considerable history and charm to this desirable coin. This particular coin should suit either the date and mint collector as well as the type specialist who is looking for a coin with a dash of the Wild West and the Orient in its history. PCGS Population: 65; 29 finer (Mint State-66 finest). PCGS# 7038. NGC ID: 2535. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
