- Lot Description
- 1882 Liberty Head Half Eagle. MS-65+ (PCGS).
Captivating reddish-rose patina blankets both sides and appears to deepen ever so slightly at the borders. This is a fully lustrous, sharply struck Gem with razor sharp detail from the rims to the centers. Scarce even at the MS-64+ level, this otherwise readily obtainable 1880s half eagle issue is an extraordinary condition rarity in premium Gem Mint State. A pristine-looking coin that will please even the most discerning gold enthusiast.
PCGS Population: 3; with a single MS-66 finer.
PCGS# 8358. NGC ID: 25XG.
