1846-C Liberty Half Eagle. AU-55 (NGC). Deep yellow gold with lively orange highlights, particularly at the rims. Sharply struck for the date, the devices weakened only by light circulation. Evenly worn but only faintly marked. Base of 1 in date repunched. One of 12,995 examples of the date struck.
