Lot Description: 89.3 grains. A really handsome piece for the grade, with good gloss and solid eye appeal. The strike is profound and well centered, bringing excellent detail and relief to the devices on both sides. Some fine striations on the obverse run northwest to southeast, most notable at center along George's jawline. The surfaces are mahogany brown with some hints of golden tan, showing a bit of innate planchet granularity in areas, as usually seen on this issue. A curved clip above the second N of BRITANNIA is mostly hidden by the holder. Aside from a single thin horizontal hairline across George's neck, this piece is as problem free as could be hoped for.
