Lot Description

1822 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-108a. Rarity-3. AU-50 (NGC). Deep charcoal and golden-copper patina yields to areas of lighter "old-silver" color near the upper-obverse and lower-reverse borders. An original AU with bold devices on both sides. Accuracy compels us to mention a small swirl of verdigris in the obverse field at stars 11-12.
