70.06 grains. Solid and appealing mid grade quality for this classic type. Both sides are pleasingly toned with nice circulated contrast between steel gray fields and lighter silver gray motifs. The obverse is fairly well centered, although the border at upper right is into the tops of the letters HVSET. Reverse off center to 9:30 with the letters EW ENG running off the flan. Those design elements not affected by centering issues are boldly defined for the grade and fully appreciable, including a complete tree, date and denomination. A horizontal scratch within the tree's branches at upper right is the only mark or other blemish of note on otherwise smooth-looking surfaces. The Noe-29 is a plentiful variety in the context of this series, and this handsome VF survivor is an excellent candidate to represent the Small Planchet Pine Tree shilling in a colonial era type set.
