Lot Description

1811 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-110a. Rarity-1. Small 8. MS-62 (NGC). The deep lilac-gray surfaces of this attractive Capped Bust half dollar exhibit lively underlying luster and sharply presented design motifs. Plenty of mint bloom is seen in the eagle's plumage. Some soft charcoal toning spots dot the obverse at Liberty's bust but do little to annoy the viewer. We note no marks of any significance, even under low magnification. Choice for the grade.
