Breen Die State IV. This piece is well struck, nicely centered, and retains uniformly bold to sharp detail in the presence of overall light wear. The in-hand appearance is pleasingly smooth, but accuracy compels us to point out several marks: a small rim bruise at 4 o'clock on the obverse, a nearly horizontal graze in the field following the letter Y in LBERTY, and a tiny dig at the base of the letter B in the same word. Evaluated by Noyes as EAC VF30, net VF20 and ranked as tied for CC#20 for the Sheldon-226 dies in his census.
