THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION PART II UBER CLEAN surfaces are accented by light rose gold overtones. Heavy mint frost blankets exceptionally well struck design elements. Other than a couple of tiny lint marks and a darker area of toning under the arrowheads, the coin is flawless! 1879 represents the first year of a dramatic decline in the mintage of circulation strike half dollars. Just 4,800 business strikes and a mere 1,100 Proofs were coined this year. PCGS 9, NGC 8.
