1872 Seated Liberty Half Dollar. WB-101. MS-64 (NGC). CAC. Like the 1871, the 1872 is a conditionally challenging Seated Half Dollar that is very scarce-to-rare in all Mint State grades. This satiny near-Gem is moderately toned with the boldest color in reddish-apricot, medium-copper and blue-gray shades confined to the peripheries. Sharply struck throughout, and free of outwardly distracting abrasions. Original mintage: just 880,600 business strikes.
