Lot Description

1766 Pitt Halfpenny Token. W-8350, Betts-519. URS-10. Copper. AU-55 (PCGS). CAC. Very appealing for a lightly worn survivor of this scarce Colonial-era type, both sides are nicely toned in even golden-brown patina. The surfaces are exceptionally smooth with no worrisome blemishes, and the detail remains bold, if not sharp despite the presence of light rub. Worthy of a strong bid!
