1882 Seated Liberty Half Dollar. Proof-67 (PCGS). Secure Holder. From a combined mintage of just 5,500 proof and business strikes comes this top-of-the-pop, Condition Census 1882 Half. A delectable proof striking, both sides exhibit dominant pinkish-tan iridescence that blends with more vivid pink and powder-blue highlights toward the borders. Shimmering with glassy reflectivity, the devices form a splendid backdrop to fully impressed devices, the finish of which is somewhat satiny and suggestive of a Cameo designation. Devoid of even trivial contact, we can easily seen this piece serving as a centerpiece of an advanced collection of proof Seated coinage.
