Lot Description

Noyes Die State C/B. Light tan-olive patina mingles with appreciable mint color in pinkish-orange. A bit soft at the high points of Liberty's portrait and around the peripheries, mostly due to die state, but most major design elements are boldly to sharply rendered. There are a few light scuffs on Liberty's neck, and scattered carbon flecks also help to explain the MS-62 numeric grade from PCGS. Pleasing Mint State quality for this popular type variety among middle date large cents, a mainstay of the Randall Hoard.
