1898 Barber Half Dollar. Proof-66 (PCGS). This boldly toned Gem exhibits subtle blue, pale gold and champagne-pink undertones to dominant copper-gray patina. Silky smooth in appearance, as one should expect for the assigned grade, this is an exquisite survivor from a mintage of 735 Proof half dollars of the date.
