It is difficult to imagine a more attractive example of either the type or issue at the assigned grade level. Both sides are vivid rose-gold, presenting smooth and choice surfaces for the grade. Sharply struck and bordering on full Gem quality, this example will please even the most discerning numismatist. The circulation strike 1892 half eagle has a mintage of 753,480 pieces, and the typical survivor grades no finer than MS-62. Given that this issue is relatively scarce even at the lowest reaches of Choice Mint State, this is a significant half eagle in PCGS MS-64.
