Lot Description

This short-lived denomination ended with a Proof only mintage of 500 pieces. This is a beautiful GEM Proof example of this KEY issue. Very flashy watery mirrors beam with delightful violet and teal overtones. Sharply struck and very smooth, there is a tiny mark on the lower reverse noted for accuracy. The eye appeal is amazing. PCGS 23, NGC 22, CAC 12. The most recent example sold for $4,920, and the two before that sold for $4,583 and $5,040. The Collectors Universe and CAC CPG values are both listed at $5,750.
