- 1856-C Liberty Quarter Eagle. AU-58 (NGC). This Charlotte Mint issue had a low mintage of 7,913 pieces. The coins are typically found with rough planchets and highly granular surfaces. This near-Mint example is no exception, and it also shows typically soft striking definition.
