Lot Description

With the second highest mintage (91,584 pieces) among half eagles from this coinage facility, the 1852-D is one of the more frequently encountered Dahlonega Mint fives. Few survivors grade finer than EF, however, and with only a handful of Mint State coins extant this a significant offering of a vivid golden-yellow example at the NGC AU-58 level.
