Our sister company Legend Numismatics are really "secret copper weenies" at heart. They have bought and sold as much GEM RED early copper as anyone. When they saw this coin they immediately wanted to buy it. In their opinion (as well as ours) this is one of the VERY BEST GEM RED 1855 Half Cents that exists! Amazing surfaces are above average in cleanliness. You can detect a few tiny ticks and frost breaks using a strong glass. There are NO real problems. A remarkable bold luster is unbroken and glows from all over. The color is a rich and totally original vibrant GEM Mint Red. Typically, this date come faded and dull. There are just a few microscopic toning dots that can be seen. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is tremendous! PCGS 58, NGC 12, CAC 6. PCGS has graded only 3 coins in MS65+ with NONE higher. NO PCGS MS65+ RD has ever been sold via auction. The current Collectors Universe Value is $11,000.
