There are your plain Jane Maryland half dollars and then there is THIS AMAZING specimen! It doesn’t matter how well struck a piece is, it will always have flat spots on Calvert’s nose, cheekbones and eyebrows, it’s just the way they come. This is one of the prettiest examples the current cataloguer has seen. Truly album toned with the ice blue and sea green hues graduating to peach and gold and ending at white centers. Evenly toned on both sides. INCREDIBLE MINT BLOOM. PCGS 86, NGC 98, CAC 55. Significantly, only 15 pieces have graded MS-67+ at PCGS.
