Lot Description

1843-D Liberty Half Eagle. Winter 10-H. Medium D. AU-58 (NGC). Pleasing olive-gold toning, with much satiny luster surviving. Boldly struck virtually everywhere save for softness at the arrow feathers a few feathers on the eagle's neck. NGC has certified only a few dozen 1843-D half eagles as AU-58 or finer over the years.
