Lot Description
1794 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent. Fuld-1, W-8560. Without NEW YORK. Copper. Fine-15 (PCGS). 143.5 grains. The rare 1794 type without NEW YORK in the reverse field. Deep steel-brown with some chocolate highlights. An evenly worn but not noticeably marked example of the rarest prize in the Talbot, Allum & Lee series. The devices are fairly bold for the assigned grade, and the eye appeal is also beyond that of a well-circulated coin. Obverse rim through date numerals, centering perfect on the reverse. A seldom offered rarity that should command both undivided attention and a solid price when it crosses the auction block.

Ted Craige's envelope calls this type "RRR."
