Lot Description

A crusty and original 1916-S $5. A challenging date in MS-63 or better grades despite several small hoards of Uncirculated coins that were repatriated starting in the early to mid-1980s. Nicely struck and satiny in texture, the presently offered example is wholly original and displays just a few light traces of contact on either side. A charming coin that should see spirited bidding when it crosses the block. Scarce in MS-64 and very rare any finer.
