Lot Description

1859 Liberty Seated Quarter. Proof-67 (NGC). One of the three finest graded of this rare date, and unexcelled by others in any category. The obverse shows incredible pale golden-gray which flashes with fiery iridescence of blue, crimson and rose when examined while the reverse shows more of an orange-russet center with vibrant blue around the rims. Pristine quality, extraordinary eye appeal and a low mintage of 800 pieces of which this is one of the finest seen, everything a specialist could desire.
