9 graded MS-66 FBL, 2 higher (both MS-66+ FBL) at NGC. With full bell lines, 1952-S is an incredibly rare half-dollar at NGC, due in part to the stringency of their designation for "FBL" (arguably more stringent than that used by any other service). Thus, NGC's population is substantially lower than that of competing grading services. Obviously an example pulled out of a mint set, the surfaces have become wonderfully endowed with pearl-grey and tobacco-bronze splashes, consistently distributed across both sides. An extremely elusive key to the series in high grade.
