1826 Matron Head Cent. N-9. Rarity-3. AU-55 (PCGS). Remarkably lustrous for the assigned grade with bold frosty cartwheel swirling across each side. Marbled medium brown and tan color. A glass reveals a few marks and some spots of old, inactive verdigris on the reverse. Overall an appealing AU example of the date or this scarcer variety.
