- Description du lot
- Many of the mintmarked Standing Liberty quarters from the mid-20s are very poorly struck, often lacking full head details. This well struck GEM is impressive, showing full detail on the head, and only some minor weakness on a few brads on the shield. A brilliant swirling luster beams from all over, giving life to a delicately toned vibrant surface. Struck late in the life of the dies, there are a number spidery die cracks seen on both sides. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 36, NGC 34, CAC 6. In MS65+, PCGS has graded 3 and NGC 2. Two have sold in the past, the most recent for $10,800 in February 2018 and the one prior to that sold in the 2014 FUN auction, bringing $12,925. The current Collector's Universe $12,500 and this date is VERY RARE any finer! Bound for a very high end set of Standing Liberty quarters. Cert. Number 34463077 PCGS # 5751
